Welcome to the Delivering Change Initiative

Delivering Change is an exciting Geary County project created in response to a growing need for improved access to healthcare, improved health of women of childbearing age, and improved outcomes for the babies born in our community!  Read about our Start and the Success we have had in Geary County: Here.

In 2011 several startling statistics came to light regarding the health of babies born to Geary County mothers. The Geary County Perinatal Coalition was formed to take a closer look at the issues surrounding these births. Delivering Change: Healthy Moms-Healthy Babies uses a Three-Pronged Approach to improving birth outcomes by focusing on Improving the health of mothers, improving the health of infants and by encouraging breastfeeding.
